How do I get cheap return fares ?
This is how it works ....
Airlines have many different classes on each flight ... Ryan air have 9 on most flights T - H - V - K - L - B - Q - M - S with T being the least expensive and S being the most expensive...
To get a cheap return you need to get the cheapest same class available both ways .. taking Stansted - Dublin as an example ... here are the return fares for each class including GB dept tax ...
"T" class £40 . . . "H" = £70 . . . "V" = £80 . . . "K" = £90 . . . "L" = £100 ..
"B" = £120 . . . "Q" = £140 . . . "M" = £150 . . . "S" = £190
Below is typical class availability showing for Fri 09 Oct - Sun 11 Oct as available on Sat 03 October .. the number after the class indicates how many seats are actually available.... No "T" class on any flight this Friday or Sunday

Looking at the availability above "H" class is cheapest class available on either 07.00 or 15.35 flight on Friday from Stamsted so now need to look for "H" class on return on Sunday from Dublin ..... below is Sunday return availability ...

So if you're looking to travel over for the week-end and want the cheapest possible fare £70 then you would have to travel over on either 07.00 or 15.35 and return on the 08.40 on Sunday morning [Not very popular] To return in the afternoon [most people] then look for the next cheapest class up "V" class ... is avail on 12.40, 14.00 or 16.00 ... £80 note though from the STN-DUB avail on Friday that "V" class is only available until the 16.35 flight .... if you can't go until later ..... only "K" class available on the 17.40, 18.45 & 19.45 flights so now you're up to £90 return ....
Many people contact us expecting to get the "T" class return fare ... a couple of days before the week-end and expect it to be available ..... now you know how it works don't be surprised if Fri evening over and Sunday afternoon return costs over £100 .... especially if you don't book it at least a few weeks in advance...
Also if you really want to have a chance of getting the £40 return fare ... avoid travelling on Fri, Sat & Sun ... and you might have a chance of getting it ....
The fares quoted above are correct at time of uploading ... they can change so don't rely on them too much especially the £40 return ... Similar fares are avail from Manchester, Birmingham & other UK airports....
